Lots of Little Babies!

We have been very blessed this year with very healthy, active baby calves on our ranch - even with a severe drought in full swing! We went out as a family on Sunday, July 8th, to take a look at everything while DH was home for the weekend.
We've had several new calves born in the past couple of weeks and they are a hoot to watch! They romp, run, kick up their heels and are so nosey! They'll peek around the protection of a big cow to see what we're up to - it is great fun to watch them and the girls had a fabulous time. Here are some pictures of our newest family members. More are on our ranch website at M4-D Ranch.

This is LKF Truffles. He was born on 17 January 2007 to Sugar Plum Princess. Here he is 5.5 months old. Most definitely a potential replacement herd bull. See that nice chunky, round behind - a desired trait for beef cattle. Plus he's a white galloway, which is great for the hot and humid south.

This is M4-D Tootsie. She was born on 18 April 2007 to Becky's Breeze. Becky and Tootsie belong to our youngest daughter, who is almost 21 months old. Tootsie is a very inquisitive little calf.

Here we have M4-D Teddy Bear (full belt) and M4-D Tiara. Teddy Bear was born on 24 June 2007 to Polly Pocket - they both belong to our middle daughter. Tiara was born on 26 June 2007 to Princess Belle. She's a really cute little calf.

Here we have from Left to Right: M4-D Tiffany, M4-D Teddy Bear and M4-D Timothy. M4-D Tiffany was born 18 June 2007 to Rachel. She is very curious and loves to kick up her heels! M4-D Timothy was born 23 March 2007 to Bathsheba. He's growing out nicely.

Here's a picture of our middle daughter trying to get close to her baby calf - Teddy Bear. He's the belted little one on the right-hand side of this photo.
