Thirteen things we do to live a "greener" lifestyle:
- Use cloth napkins and cloth toilet wipes
- Use Shaklee laundry and dishwasher detergent
- Pay attention to water usage in the showers and at the kitchen sink
- Keep thermostat at 65 or lower in winter and 78 or higher in summer
- At least one of our vehicles that is fuel efficient (we do need a farm truck for our cows)
- Compost our food scraps for use in our garden
- Recycle glass, plastic, newspapers, printer cartridges, etc.
- Use our local hazardous waste disposal facility for batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paints
- Recycle motor oil from our vehicle oil changes
- Grow our own herbs and many of our own veggies
- Raise our own all-natural beef on grass, not grain
- Buy other fruits and veggies from local sources as much as possible
- Cook most of our foods from scratch instead of buying pre-packaged
We do more than this, but this is a quick list of our top 13 items. You can get more information under the Green Living tab at the top of this blog. You can see more Thursday Thirteen lists at the link - Happy Thursday!

What a neat list for TT! I have been doing some of those things already but have recently started doing more. Have a great day. Happy TT
We do some of those, but I can't see us ever using cloth toilet wipes.
