One Local Summer~ Week 3
My husband had to make a quick trip home this weekend from Ft. Knox to get some paperwork that he and the Army needed. It has been a very quick trip, so before he had to go back this afternoon, we had a delightful Sunday lunch with the girls for our One Local Summer main meal this week.
Here's what we had:
~ Sirloin steak tips from our very own M4-D Ranch sirloin steak - quickly flashed in a hot pan and cooked to medium rare with a splash of worcestershire sauce.
~ Twice cooked potatoes using potatoes from our local farmer's market and rosemary from my huge rosemary bush in my herb garden. Not local: olive oil, kosher salt and cracked black pepper. First I boiled the potatoes, the mashed them slightly on a cooking sheet - sprinkled with olive oil and seasonings and popped them in the oven at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes. Yum.
~ Purple hull peas from my freezer that were purchased at last summer's local farmer's market.
It was a delicious meal made special because we got to enjoy it as a family! You can visit Farm To Philly to see more of the One Local Summer meals that were prepared for Week 3!

This looks so simple to make and so delicious!
Hello, you really should say that you got the potato recipe from the Pioneer Woman.....unless "she" got it from "you". :)
