We're getting our garden started, too. Such an exciting time of year!
Love this idea!We are in the beginning stages of planning our garden. My sweet husband went and got 13 tires this afternoon.
I have read MANY different articles and there seems to be a huge debate on whether or not this is safe to grow veggies in-- What's your opinion on the issue??
From what I've been able to tell, there hasn't really been any definitive research done to show if chemicals leach into the soil. There does seem to be agreement that tires are hazardous if they are burned.
We washed ours out with Shaklee Basic H to make sure there wasn't any oil or antifreeze, etc. in them.
I personally am not that worried about it - which is why we decided to go ahead with it.
